Anna has always enjoyed creative writing, and during the first pandemic lockdown, she found it a powerful way to explore her thoughts and feelings. She began writing letters to her younger self, which became her first book, Green Pigs & Me. “I am not past my prime. Older women are coming into their strength and power… But seriously, what the ?!@! is perimenopause?!” In the third Green Pigs book, Anna shares a fifteen-month journey through midlife and the chaos of perimenopause, navigating hormones, identity shifts, and ageing. She sheds light on the mysteries and taboos of menopause with honesty and humour. Anna’s books combine letters, essays, and journal-style reflections that encourage women to reflect on their own lives with compassion and acceptance. By sharing her story, she opens space for conversations about the struggles many women face but often feel they face alone. “I thought it was just me,” many women have told her. Anna explains. “By sharing my story, I want to help others realise that they are not alone.”
