Chris Huskins (pictured) Director and Head Grower, Hampshire Market Garden CIC, has opened a new site at the Lockerley Estate, near Romsey, in addition to their market garden site in Hambledon in the Meon Valley. The expansion will allow the organisation to increase its commitment to regenerative and organic farming while strengthening local food networks and increasing food production for local communities. The intention is also to offer additional educational opportunities for growers and schools as well as enable greater collaboration with farmers and policymakers to advocate for soil-first farming.
Hampshire Market Garden wants to encourage supporters, local food advocates and anyone passionate about sustainable farming to follow their journey. They are also keen to invite interested people or groups to contact them.
