Many are disappointed to learn that Romsey Visitor Centre on Church Street is to close at the end of March. Ticket sales will be dealt with via the Former Magistrates Court, with Oasis handling tickets sales for Music in Romsey. The building is to be taken over by King John’s House and will become the entrance
to the museum. This decision is in response to a review of tourism behaviours that show more people are planning visits online. King John’s House will also become one of nine Tourist Information Points across the Test Valley, helping to promote tourism across the borough. It is hoped that the new entrance to King John’s House will attract more visitors to its museum, gardens and tearooms and help secure the future of this local attraction.
