Southampton Guildhall joins Woodley Road Car Park in Woolston and Marlborough Road Car Park (South) in Shirley as the third walk-through COVID-19 testing site in Southampton, with the possibility of a fourth in the north of the city.
Appointments are available to anyone with coronavirus symptoms seven days a week 8am – 8pm.
Book ahead at nhs.uk/coronavirus or by calling 119.
For those wanting to park near the site, ample parking is available in several nearby car parks, which will be clearly signposted and shared with those signing up for a test.
Councillor Lorna Fielker, Cabinet Member for Health and Care at Southampton City Council, commented: “We are aware of national issues with the Test & Trace programme which are outside of our control. We are continuing to do our part to help secure suitable sites for walk-through testing at short notice, to offer residents easier access to testing and increase capacity ready for the winter season.”
“I urge anyone that has symptoms to make sure they isolate along with members of their household and book a test as soon as possible. But please do not turn up at any of these walk-through sites without a booking.”
Parking closest to the Southampton Guildhall testing site includes:
Civic Centre Forecourt Car Park (SO15 1QD)
Grosnevor Square North Multi-Storey Car Park (SO15 2BE)
As well as looking good and working with the overall scheme, bathroom floor coverings must, first and foremost, be supremely practical: non-slip and resistant to water and humidity, easy to clean and comfortable underfoot. A key consideration is who will use the room, as a family bathroom will have different requirements to a guest bedroom’s en suite, for example. We outline a range of different possibilities.
