We asked for your recommendations for Sunday roasts. Thanks for getting in touch with your favourites. Suggestions included The Crown and Anchor on Broadway, Winchester. This traditional pub is rated for its friendliness and plentiful, good quality roast. The King Charles in King’s Worthy was another – described as a warm, inviting local pub serving a great Sunday roast including a tasty veggie Wellingtion. The Roebuck Inn, Fulflood, is recommended for its generous portions of homemade food and proper gravy. St James Tavern, Romsey Road, serves up a nut roast, as well as a choice of beef, pork and chicken plus roasties, Yorkshire pud, veg and gravy.
Combine your roast with a walk at The Plough Inn, a cosy country pub in Sparsholt with log burners, and a popular Sunday roast served with great Yorkshire puds. It’s gets very busy, but we were assured no one is turned away.
