MY STORY: PHOTOGRAPHER SHARON BOLT
There’s a quote by Aaron Siskind, “…it remembers the little things, long after you have forgotten everything” that really sums up how I feel about photography.
“I’ve always cherished the photographs that had been woven into my life. Images, that at the time of taking seemed to be unimportant but transpired into changing my life. My love of photographs evolved from taking many, many pictures of my dogs. I became hooked, the perfectionist in me wanted to learn more and so began the hours of study and of wonderful lightbulb moments. Friends asked if I’d photograph their dogs and so grew Cleo Bolt Photography.
Cleo was my first dog, a beautiful cairn terrier. She is no longer with me, but when thinking of a name for my photography, there could be no other.”
Sharon has gained international recognition by scooping awards (out of 13,000 entries) in the Equine category of the Image of the Year Competition from the Guild of Professional Photographers.
She has also had two images in the Top 10 images of the year in the Bird genre and an image in the in the Animal genre.
