Replacing Assheton Court: Fareham Council want to replace the existing 51-year-old Assheton Court buildings at Castle Street, Portchester with 60 one and two bedroom flats for over-55s.

Shake-up of Govt Boundaries: Fareham residents are being sounded out over a major shake-up of local government boundaries with plans to have 32 councillors representing 16 two-councillor wards and all would have different boundaries.

Pub Chefs Retire: Husband and wife chefs, Vidsanu and Thanawan Rayab, are retiring after working for 19 years at The Talisman Pub in Park Gate and are planning to return to Thailand.

Christmas Tree Festival: They will be getting in the festive mood at St John’s Church, Lock’s Heath with a Christmas Tree Festival between 1 – 4 December. There will be music and refreshments. Email ctf@sjlh.org.uk

Live Love Local: Fareham Council is continuing its Live Love Local campaign to help support local businesses for another year. The council has earmarked cash to run the campaign until Oct 2023.

Solent Quilt Show: Solent Stitchers donated £1,000 towards the Titchfield Village Trust Building Fund from their extremely successful quilt show. The group meets twice a month at the village hall.

New B&M Store: Fareham residents could have a new B&M store in Southampton Rd retail park which would bring 85 jobs to the area. It would be the retail giant’s third store in the borough and would go in the empty Argos/Carpet Barn.
