IT’S NOT WEAK TO SPEAK

It is good to talk. That’s the clear message of a Romsey men’s peer support group. The market town was the first location to host a ManGang meeting in September 2019 at Café Fresh in Market Place. Since opening, the group has helped hundreds of men improve their mental health by the simple act of talking. The group meet every Wednesday at 6:30pm at Café Fresh.

A spokesperson says it was absolutely vital to have face to face meetings because people open up more and they can also see the body language in other people. And they are able to be more empathetic towards one another.

ManGang is a network of men who believe that it’s not weak to speak. It provides a platform for men across Hampshire who struggle with the pressures of modern-day life and breaks down the stigma surrounding mental health.
