INTRODUCING ‘FIG AND FOX’

A brand-new gift and lifestyle brand has opened its doors at 42 – 44 The Hundred, Romsey.

Fig and Fox is the brainchild of Helen & James Mitchell (pictured). With their design background, James says: “We thought, wouldn’t it be great if all of our favourite things were in one place?”

Eco-friendly values sit at the heart of the brand, from using compostable packaging to offering a recycling point for your used coffee cups. The shop will feature freshly made flower bouquets, produced in the studio above the shop each morning. The retail space will be filled with an array of house plants, cosmetics, jewellery, homeware, cards and gift wrap. There will be a local food and drink produce area, filled with products from companies including Chococo, The Garlic Farm, Flacks Brewery, Slab Fudge and New Forest Teas.

Helen says: “We have commissioned local paper artist Samantha Pierpoint to create a series of paper illustrations, drawing inspiration from the New Forest and our surroundings which will feature on our gift boxes which you can fill in store.”

The counter will offer speciality coffee, the first floor has a small commercial kitchen, office and studio space and the second floor opens its doors in January, offering a space for local artists to run workshops.
