FOLLOW THE HARES OF HAMPSHIRE TRAIL
Hares of Hampshire is a spectacular public art event showcasing an exhibition of magnificent hares across Southampton and Winchester.
Each giant sculpture will be individually designed and beautifully created, showcasing the wealth of artistic talent the county has to offer, creating a free, fun, family-friendly trail of discovery to find the hares using an interactive app. The app, called ‘Hares of Hampshire 2022’ and available from Google Play and the App Store, will map out the route which includes Winchester Cathedral, The Great Hall, Abbey Grounds, River Park and Southampton’s Guildhall Square, QE2 Mile and Cultural Quarter.
Each sculpture will be sponsored by a business and individually designed by an artist – either well-known or just starting out, from Hampshire or further afield.
They will leave on 25 August, then from the 2 – 4 September, there will be the chance to say a final ‘goodbye’ at a Farewell Event before each Hare is auctioned to raise funds for The Murray Parish Trust.
@themurrayparishtrust has helped to raise over £2.5 million for Southampton Hospital.
