In the latest Discover Magazines edition we included a feature called ‘Creative Containers’ written by plant pathologist Pippa Greenwood. In this feature Pippa speaks about how everyday containers can be turned into beautiful pots for plants, a simple way to brighten up your back garden.

She suggests old tyres, wellington boots and even a bath tub being used as quirky planters, or just taking a plastic pot and cover them in colourful hessian to stand out in the garden.

Discover have looked into this and found many more everyday objects you could use to plant your favourite flowers and create a beautiful centrepiece.
