Eastleigh’s former first citizen, Cllr Cynthia Garton, raised £6,000 for Mountbatten Hampshire. She joined the West End tea party to celebrate the charity’s 45th anniversary and present the bumper cheque.
Walkies
Gore Copse, an area of woodland next to Pembers Hill, Fair Oak has been opened up for locals to enjoy following the completion of a gravel footpath running the length of the woodland and meadow area.
Seeing Red
Local residents took to social media to wish a happy first anniversary to temporary traffic lights in Stoneham Lane, Eastleigh where roadworks were originally scheduled for 15 weeks!
Citizen of Honour
The hunt is on for Eastleigh’s Citizen of Honour, created in 1987, to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the borough charter. It is given every two years to people who have given long and exceptional service to the community.

Trial Recycle
Fair Oak Council has installed a Tetrapak Carton Waste bin at Woodland Community Centre on a trial basis. It is the only carton recycling bin in the borough accepting wax or aluminium lined cartons which cannot be recycled via kerb side collection or at Household Waste Recycling Centres.
Mixed Boxing
